Rules


The competition is open to all ages and will be held in three rounds. The first and the second round take place in Haus Villigst, Room 8 on Thursday and Friday (August 12th and 13th) plus - if necessary - on Saturday morning.
The third round will be held on Saturday, August 14th, in the Oberste Stadtkirche Iserlohn, 7.00 p.m.
The judges decision is final.
Round 1 • August 12th, 9.30 a.m.
- set piece: any etude from H. Villa-Lobos (free choice)
- plus a piece of free choice
- but 8 minutes maximum all together
- 1st round will be continued on Friday, August 13th, 2010
Round 2 • August 13th, 2 p.m.
- set piece: minimum one or more movements of any of the sonatas or suites for all instruments by J. S. Bach (free choice - all trascriptions allowed).
- plus a piece of free choice, but 15 minutes maximum all together. The second round could also only be Bach pieces.
- If necessary the second round will be continued on Saturday morning, August 14th, 2010
Round 3 • August 14th, 7 p.m.
free program, but 25 minutes minimum and 30 minutes maximum all together.
- No repetition from the first two rounds.
- about 25 Participants will go to the second round and maximum five participants in the final round.
- All finalists will receive a prize.
- All prizes will be given away in any case.
- It is possible to split prizes.
